Day 24 of 31 Day Challenge: Galaxy Nails

 

This design reminds me of a dress i borrow from one of my best friends Gem

(Which reminds me i still need to return)

 

i enjoyed this nail art design but kind of messed up when doing the stars but i suppose practise makes perfect.

 

 

For this tutorial you will need:

- Top and base coat

- Black and white nail varnish

- Dark blue and pink nail varnish

- Cosmetic sponge

- Dotting tool

 

 

Half Moon Nail Art Tutorial

Dita Von Teese

Day 23 of 31 day challenge: Half Moon Nails

Half moon nail art hit the catwalk and red carpets in the spring of 2011.
Anyone who's anyone has rocked this nail art from Rihanna to Dita Von Teese.

I have gone for a bit more a of Dita Von Teese kind of look with a gold glitter twist.

Fun Fact:  The white crescent-shaped area of this finger is called The lunula which translated in Latin is little moon.
 

 

For this tutorial you will need:

- Base and top coat

- Base colour

- French manicure guide stickers

- Nail glue

- Nail art pen

- Rhinestones

 

 

 

Glittery Nails

Day 17 of 31 Day challenge: Glittery Nails

 

Yes the time has come to go glitter mad and show off my favourite nail varnish.

 

For my glittery look i used:

Revlon Top and base coat

Models own Indian Ocean and Dancing Queen

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

After undercoating my nail with my base coat i applied models own Indian ocean.

A nice light and shimmery base colour.

 

 

 

When my base colour was dry i applied approximately 3 coats of models own dancing queen.

I am addicted to this nail varnish its a must have!

It contains green, blue and gold glitter with large chunks of silver and blue fleck diamonds.

 

 

 

Applied my top coat to protect the glitter.

Wow ...i cant take my eye of these dazzlers - They would defiantly make any outfit glam.

Tribal Nails - Ultimate Fail

Day 16 of 31 days challenge: Tribal Nails

 

 

I was really looking forward to doing this one as i love the look - However i got far to carried away and spoilt it :(

Put a nail art pen in my hand and i go a OTT.

I am a little embarrassed to put this on my blog but you learn from your mistakes and move on.

After completing the 31 day challenge i am certainly giving this one another go.

This was one of the toughest days yet. I have had a complete mind block trying to think what to do for this one hence why it is so late been posted.

I started doing delicate print and sort of turned out to be blingy too.

Mod/ Retro nail art flowers are so simple to do but ridiculously fabulous.

Day 13 of 31 day challenge: Animal Print

 

For today challenge i wanted to try something different from the usual leopard or zebra print .

So i thought i would give a snake print a try.

This is the first attempt so let see how it goes...

Dotty nails are mega easy, look fabulous and best of all you can use household items to do it.

 

For this tutorial you will need:

Gradient Nail Art

Day 10 of 31 day challenge: Gradient Nails

 

I love Gradient, Ombre , faded nail art - possibly my favourite so far.

It was also a massive hit with all you keen blog readers too.

 

This time when doing gradient nails i have use a dark colour as a base and faded it out in to a white glittery tip.

Rainbow nails are really simple and easy todo.

I have added glitter as you know i love the stuff - Unfortunately my camera has picked it up blured but its glittery.

Day 8 of 31 day challenge : Metallic Nails

 

For this nail art i wanted to sort of kill two bird with one stone by show you nail art stamping and completing my nail art challenge.

When i first saw the stamping kit i was amazed, it allows you to have fab nails will little effort and little skill is need.

 

What's in a stamping kit?

Metal picture plate.

(You can get a mass of different picture from spider to flower)

Rubber stamp

Mini scraper

Day 7 of 31 Day challenge: Black and White Nails.

 

My nail are all over the news...oh wait that's not right ...the news is all over my nails.

For a keen magazine, newspaper or book reader this nail art design is perfect for you.

 

It is super easy and quick to do.

Cling Film Nail Art Tutorial

 Day 5 of 31 day challenge: Blue Nails

 
Yes you read it right ... Cling film nail art.
OK i admit it sound crazy but the result is fantastic.

I like this quirky two tone marble effect design ,It's very simple to do and doesn't take very long ether... result!

 

For this tutorial you will need:

- Base and top nail varnish

- Two different colour nail varnishes

- Cling film- Scrunched up in to 10 smallish balls (one for each nail)

This is the first time i have tried this so i hope it has turned out alright.

 

 

For this tutorial you will need:

3D Fimo Nail Art Tutorial

Day 2 of 31 day challenge : Orange nails.

 

For today nail art i am going to create a 3D nail art using Fimo.

I wasnt really looking forward to today challenge which is orange nail as i am not that really keen on the colour on my nails however its turn out i quite like it.

Its very cute and easy to do.

 

 

What is fimo?

Its made of polymer clay which is molded it to different shape and sizes with an endless amount of different designs.

Fimo is bendy as rubber but very firm and requires to be cut with a blade.

It usually come in 4/5 cm canes which equates to around 100 pieces depending how thick you cut your pieces.

 

I got my fimo from eBay it was around £2-3 for 100 canes. *Bargain*

 It usually comes from china or Hong Kong so you may have to wait a little while to receive it.

 

 

 

 

31 Day Challenge...

 

While spending hour trawling the net to find the coolest of nail art designs i came across this challenge which i have been itching to do for some time.

 

The 31 day challenge is basically creating a new nail art design every day but making sure you capture the below.

 

 It seems a tough challenge but i feel like i can take it on.
