Newspaper Nail Art Tutorial

Day 7 of 31 Day challenge: Black and White Nails.

 

My nail are all over the news...oh wait that's not right ...the news is all over my nails.

For a keen magazine, newspaper or book reader this nail art design is perfect for you.

 

It is super easy and quick to do.

For this tutorial you will need:

- Base and top coat

- White nail varnish

- News paper cuttings x10

- Water and small bowl

- Cotton bud and pad

 

 

First off undercoat your nails with your base nail varnish.

 

Once dry apply 2-3 thin layers of white nail varnish

I am using Virgin Vie White.

 

Make sure you white nail varnish is COMPLETELY DRY before starting the next set.

 

Take one of your news paper cuttings and pop it face down in the bowl of water.

The water is just from my tap.

 

Allow the paper to soak for 5 seconds.

 

Carefully lift the newspaper out of the water and place over your nail face down.

 

With your cotton pad apply some pressure for 10- 15 seconds.

Don't rub it or the paper will move and smudge the words.

 

Take one corner of the newspaper and slowly peel back.

 

You will have ink print on your skin too.

To remove it dip your cotton bud in water and rub over the skin.

Do not rub your nail or the ink will come off.

 

You must apply a top coat to this design or the letters will rub off.

 

 

Repeat on all your nail.
