For this tutorial you will need:
- Base and top coat nail varnish
- Colour base nail varnish
- Contrast colour nail varnish
-Dotting tool two sizes one medium and one small
- Fine small nail art brush
First off undercoat your nails.
I am using Revlon 955.
Once completely dry paint on your base colour.
I am using Virgin V - White. Normally with white nail varnish you have to put on two - three coats.
I applied two layers.
With your contrast colour swipe a band at the tip of your nail a bit like a french manicure tip.
I am using Barry M- Indigo
Dollop a pea size amount on to the paper plate . Dip the
dotting tool in the nail varnish and make a medium size dot in the middle of your nail near the cuticle.
Use the smaller dotting tool to make four small dots ,two each side of the medium dot you have just created.
Dip the nail art brush in the the nail varnish, connect the dots in to two mini triangles which meet in the middle to create a bow tie.
Colour in the triangles with the nail art brush.
With the smaller dotting tool make two dots below the bow to form buttons.
repeat this on all your nails.
Cover your design with a top coat to give it a glossy look.

* Don't have a dotting tool?... You can use a blunt pencil, a hair grip or blunt the end of a tool pick.
* Don't have a nail art brush?.. You can use an eyeliner make up brush or a thin paint brush.
